ABOUT EL Surgeons

EL Surgeons was initially started in East London in 1967 by Graham Fisher (nicknamed ‘Flash’ by the theatre staff). Peter Comfort joined him in 1968.

Back then the practice was based in the old medical centre. And the examination couch was a few planks over the bath! Both Graham and Peter did sessions at Frere Hospital which Peter continued up until his retirement.

No. 17 St Lukes was bought by Graham and Peter in 1971 and this building has served as our rooms since then.
